Winery Participant Information - A maximum of 15 wineries will be allowed to participate
General Information:
• The event will be conducted on Davie Street, Summit Avenue, and the festival grounds of the Greensboro
Cultural Arts Center adjacent to the new Center City Park in downtown Greensboro.
• Our entertainment stage will feature a variety of “soft” genre entertainment.
• Wine tasting tents will be situated primarily along Davie Street adjacent to Center City Park. Gourmet food
and art exhibition tents will be situated on festival grounds (grass).
Exhibitor Specifications:
We accept exhibitors in the winery, art, commercial (wine related), gourmet food concession categories.
Wine exhibitors will be allocated tent spaces in 10 x 12 blocks. Space in the tents will be allocated in
10’x12’ blocks 9Maximum of 2 blocks) on a first come, first served basis.
Art & Vine will:
• obtain all necessary area permits required to conduct the event.
• provide an event site plan in advance of the event.
• establish entry and exit points to the wine tasting area and for checking identification to
verify 21 or older age of attending public before issuing a tasting glass and wristband.
• be available for sale on the festival grounds.
• provide proper sanitary facilities, general security, emergency, medical and fire protection
for the area of the event throughout the duration of the festival.
• will provide for a wine pick-up station where attending public can deposit wine purchases of
three packs or larger.
• will provide tasting glasses and wristbands for your booth volunteers.
• will provide $1,000,000 event liability insurance.
Wineries represented in this festival reflect the region's growing wine industry. In order to produce the best
event possible within the limits of our venue and theme to suit the expectations of our guests, sponsors, and
other festival participants, we reserve the right to accept or reject applications.
PROMOTION
Each participating winery is expected to promote the Art & Vine Wine Festival on its website and in any written communications sent
to winery clientele.
SPACE ASSIGNMENTS
Space will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
DEPOSIT
Participating wineries will be required to pay a $75 deposit that will be returned on the day of the festival. Refunding of the $75
exhibitor fee will be made only to those wineries that set-up and meet the criteria stated herein. No refunds will be given for bad
weather, booth location on the festival grounds, less than desirable sales of your product, feuds with neighboring exhibitors, last
minute booth location changes, acts of nature or any other unforeseen circumstance.
INSURANCE POLICY
Art & Vine will provide an event liability policy in the amount of $1,000,000. In addition, each winery is responsible for obtaining a
certificate of insurance for comprehensive general liability coverage for the event which lists AKA Entertainment & Media, and the
City of Greensboro as additionally insured.
SET-UP
You may begin set-up in designated spaces on Saturday, October 13th at 8:00am. Set-up must be complete by 11:00am (Oct 13).
Booth space that is not occupied by 10am October 13th will be allocated to exhibitors on our stand-by list. Parking and traffic will not
be permitted in the show area or fire lanes from one half hour before show opens (10:30 am) until 15 minutes after the show
closes, (6:15 pm).
All loading and unloading must be planned around these hours and vehicles are to be removed to the Exhibitor parking lots before
the show opens. Vehicles remaining in the show area or fire lanes during these hours may be towed away at the
owner’s risk and expense.
Exhibitors must abide by all fire regulations and/or decisions of the representatives of local fire departments. All booth materials
shall be in accordance with local fire regulations. No open flames are permitted.
Electricity is not provided for this show. Personal generators must be a silent operating model and fit into the footprint of your booth
space. All extension cords used at the show must be the heavy-duty, three wire type. No two wire extension cords are allowed.
Electrical cords willnot be allowed in public aisles.
Your exhibit must not interfere with adjacent exhibits in any way.

CLEANLINESS STANDARDS
Wineries are responsible for set up, clean up and securing of their own booths. All displays should be neat and clean and tables
should be covered on all sides to the ground. All Exhibitors are responsible for keeping their area clean during show hours,
including clean-up at the end of the first day and clean-up at the end of the show. Trash items (bottles,boxes, palettes and
decorative items) should be discarded to the provided area dumpsters.
GUEST RELATIONS
All booths must be occupied and open during all hours of the festival. Each winery should have at least two personnel staffing it’s
booth to provide attending public tastings and sales. Each winery is reminded that personnel working the booth are not to provide
wine to anyone who appears under the influence or to any obviously under age person who may have obtained a tasting glass. The
re-carding of such individuals to reconfirm legal drinking age is the responsibility of the participating winery staff personnel under
ABC regulations. Wineries may display and sell wine by bottle(s) or glass(es). All wine sold must be wine from your own label. Only
winery logo quality accessories are to be sold at winery booths. Guests of the festival have pre-purchased unlimited tastings.
Wineries participating in the festival agree to offer free tastings in exchange for free booth space. Guests are not to be charged extra
for tastings. Wine pick-up service is available only for wine purchases of three packs or larger.
TEAR DOWN
Tear down cannot be started before 6pm October 11, 2008. Each winery must be responsible for the removal of all winery supplies
brought to the festival and placement of all trash items in provided area dumpsters at the conclusion of the event. In the event of
rain, all wineries and other festival participants will be required to follow a contingency exit plan which will be distributed if needed.
